Srinagar Logs -3.5°C From Previous Night's Minus 5.4°C

Srinagar: The night temperature in the Kashmir Valley improved on Friday, with Srinagar recording minus 3.5 degrees Celsius, compared to minus 5.4 degrees Celsius the previous night.

According to reports, parts of Dal Lake continue to freeze amidst the bone-chilling cold across the region.

As per available details, sub-zero temperatures were recorded at all stations.

In South Kashmir, Qazigund, the gateway town of the valley, recorded a low of minus 2.8 degrees Celsius, while Pahalgam, a top tourist destination, recorded a minimum temperature of minus 5.0 degrees Celsius.

In North Kashmir, the world skiing resort Gulmarg recorded a low of minus 3.4 degrees Celsius, and Kupwara recorded minus 4.2 degrees Celsius.

Reports from Pir Panchal, Chenab, and Pakistan-controlled Kashmir were unavailable."
