Pahalgam Coldest In Kashmir Valley At Minus 4.3°C

Srinagar: Amid dry weather till 10 December, the mercury continued its downward trend across Kashmir on Tuesday, plunging below freezing point in the Valley, except for Kokernag.
 
According to meteorological department officials, Srinagar recorded a low of minus 1.4°C, compared to 0.7°C the previous night, marking a deviation of 0.5°C below the normal for this time of the year. 
 
Qazigund witnessed a minimum of minus 1.6°C, down from minus 0.4°C the night before, with temperatures 0.5°C below normal for the gateway town of Kashmir.
 
Pahalgam registered a low of minus 4.3°C, as opposed to minus 3.4°C the previous night, reflecting a deviation of 1.0°C below normal for the renowned resort in south Kashmir.
 
Kokernag, located in south Kashmir, recorded a minimum of 0.2°C, up from 0.8°C the previous night, showing a temperature 0.8°C above normal for the area.
 
Gulmarg reported a low of minus 2.3°C, compared to minus 3.0°C the night before, with the latest temperature exceeding the norm by 1.0°C for the globally acclaimed skiing resort in north Kashmir.
 
In north Kashmir's Kupwara town, the temperature dropped to minus 1.4°C from minus 2.5°C the previous night, marking a 0.3°C deviation below normal.
 
Jammu recorded a minimum of 9.9°C, slightly down from 11.0°C the previous night, but still 0.1°C above normal.
