Srinagar: Kashmiri Pandits celebrated the Hindu festival of Ram Navami by organizing a Shoba Yatra across various parts of Srinagar city on Wednesday, amid a huge deployment of forces along the route.

According to reports, the rally commenced at Kathleshwar temple in Tankipora and traversed through Habbakadal, Ganpathyar, Barbar Shah, Regal Chowk, Lal Chowk, Hari Singh High Street, and Jahangir Chowk, resonating with "Hare Rama Hare Rama" slogans.

In Hindu tradition, the Shoba Yatra signifies the conclusion of the nine-day Ram Navami festival, dedicated to honoring the birth of the Hindu deity, Lord Rama.

Special prayers were offered for the peace and prosperity of the valley, reflecting the collective aspirations of the community.
