Bijbhera: A non-local was killed after being fired upon in the Jablipora area of Bijbhera in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday late evening.
He has been identified as Raja Shah, son of Shankar Shah, a resident of Bihar.
A top police officer said, “Militants fired upon a non-local from close range.”
He had sustained two bullet injuries in the neck and abdomen and was shifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition. However, he succumbed to his injuries.
The area has been cordoned off to apprehend the attackers, he added.
