Srinagar: A woman was injured after a black bear attacked her in the Uttersoo village of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district this morning, officials said.
The injured was identified as Shamema Begum, wife of Mushtaq Ahmed Hajam.
He was immediately hospitalized at SDH (sub-district hospital Shangus after the incident.
As per reports, she was outside her house when the bear attacked her.
Alerted by the cries, the family and locals came to her rescue and chased away the wild animal.
However, the gravity of the injuries couldn’t be known at the time of filing this report.
