Srinagar, May 7 —Amid rising escalation between India and Pakistan, which have killed 31 civilians in Pakistan and 15 in J&K since the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, Srinagar Police continues to intensify its crackdown, with at least 31 raids conducted on Wednesday.
In a statement, Srinagar Police said that following the Pahalgam attack, more than 100 raids have been carried out so far in an ongoing campaign to dismantle what officials describe as the “ecosystem” supporting banned outfits.
On May 7, Srinagar Police searched the residences of 31 individuals across the city.
“These operations, carried out in the presence of Executive Magistrates and independent witnesses, were conducted to seize arms, digital devices, and other materials relevant for evidence and intelligence collection,” the statement reads.
