Kashmir Schools' Winter Vacation Extended Due to Weather Forecast

Srinagar: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has extended the winter vacation for schools by two days in light of the weather forecast issued by the Meteorological Department. Both private and government-run schools are ordered to resume classwork from March 4, 2024.

An order stated, "In view of the weather advisory issued by the Meteorological Department predicting heavy snowfall in the Valley, it is hereby ordered that classwork in all government and recognized private schools of the Kashmir Division up to the higher secondary level shall commence from March 4, 2024."

It is noteworthy that schools were originally scheduled to resume classwork tomorrow, March 1, 2024.

Earlier, the Meteorological Department forecasted a wet spell in the Kashmir Valley until March 3rd, prompting the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) to extend the winter vacation for schools by two days.
