Srinagar: Following a brief rain spell, waterlogging disrupts key areas like Dal Lake's Boulevard Road, Zero Bridge and other areas in Srinagar, raising eyebrows given the administration’s lofty claims of development being carried out under the Smart City project.
According to reports, vehicles navigated through flooded streets, and pedestrians waded through ankle-deep water
Expressing frustration, a local resident voiced concerns about the city's drainage system: 'It's shocking to see Boulevard Road in this state after just one day of rain,' he said.
Reports also revealed waterlogging at the historic Maharaj Gunj Market, with cloth merchant Abdul Rashid stating, 'It affects our business, as customers prefer not to visit.’
