Srinagar: The wildlife department on Saturday captured a brown bear in the Rajwara village of north Kashmir’s Handwara after he damaged graveyards in the area
An official said that the Wildlife department with the assistance of police captured a brown bear who was ransacking graveyards in Rajwara village.
He said that the bear was roaming in the residential areas for the last few days, posing danger to people's lives and their livestock, besides damaged graveyards in Rajpora, Shatigam and adjacent areas.
“Soon after getting information, cages were set up at multiple locations and after hectic efforts the bear was captured,” he added.
