Israeli Defence Minister, Benny Gantz said that Israel sold arms worth more than $3 billion to Arab countries since the signing of the Abraham Accords in 2020, Anadolu News Agency reported.

The Abraham Accords are a joint alliance between the State of Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan and the United States for the normalization of relationships between the Arab world and Israel signed on August 13, 2020.

The accord was named after the prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), a common figure revered by the three major monotheistic religions—Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

However, the deals have drawn widespread condemnations from Palestinians, who say the Accords are against the Palestinian cause.

As per reports, the Israeli Defence Ministry held about 150 meetings with "their counterparts in regional countries, excluding Egypt and Jordan.

According to Haaretz newspaper, the names of the countries involved in the deal has not been mentioned.

Israel also hailed the US President's visit to the Middle East and said it sends a strong message to Israel's enemies and "strengthens Israel's position".
