Srinagar: A fire broke out in the Baranpathar locality of Batmaloo in Srinagar late Monday evening, officials said.
An official stated that the fire erupted from a residential house, prompting the dispatch of fire tenders to the spot.
Efforts are underway to prevent the fire from spreading further, while the cause of the fire remains unknown, he said.
