Three Booked Under NDPS, Shifted To Kot-Balwal Jail

Baramulla: Three alleged drug smugglers have been booked under the PIT NDPS Act in North Kashmir’s Baramulla and lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal, Jammu, following the issuance of formal detention orders from the competent authority, as stated by the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

According to the police, they have been identified as Shahid Hussain Dar, son of Ghulam Hassan, resident of Sultanpora Pattan; Mohd Saleem Sheikh, also known as Mass, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Malikbagh Pattan; and Nazaar Ahmad Bhatti, son of Bawar Ali, resident of Madiyan Kamalkote Uri.

“Many cases are registered against these drug smugglers and they were involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Uri, Kamalkote, Madiyan, Pattan, Sultanpora & other areas of Districtm” Police said.

“Despite their involvement in many FIRs, they did not mend their activities”, Police added.
