Srinagar: Dusty winds and brief showers are expected for two to three hours across several regions in Jammu and Kashmir, the Meteorological Department (MeT) said.
According to the forecast, residents in South Kashmir, North Kashmir’s Uri, Baramulla, and numerous parts of the “Jammu division” can expect thundershowers, which are expected to range from light to moderate in intensity.
“These showers may be accompanied by brief but intense rain episodes, creating localised downpours in these areas. Alongside the precipitation, gusty winds are also expected to sweep through the region.”
As per the details gathered by The Himalayan Post, the minimum night temperature at most of the places in J&K was lower than the previous night with Srinagar logging 19 °C.
In South Kashmir, the top tourist destination, Pahalgam logged 17 °C, Kokernag 16 °C, Daksum 14 °C, Sinthan Top 5 °C, and Verinag 16 °C.
In North Kashmir; World famous skiing resort, Gulmarg recorded 11 °C, Bandipora 12 °C, Baramulla 11 °C, and Kupwara 18 °C.
In Pir Panchal and Chemab regions, Banihal logged 18 °C and Doda, and Kistwar noted 22 °C and, 18 °C respectively.
Ladakh recorded logged 5 °C.
In Pakistan-controlled Kashmir; Mirpur recorded 25 °C, Muzaffarabad 24°C, Gilgit 22 °C, and Skardu 17 °C.
