Bandipora; A woman identified as Aisha Begum, 50, was injured in a black bear attack while working in her kitchen-garden at her residence in Nagaiwaan area of Ajas, north Kashmir's Bandipora district on Saturday afternoon.
As per reports, Aisha Begum sustained injuries in her left eye.
She was immediately taken to a nearby health facility and later referred to a Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment.
The Wildlife Department responded swiftly to the incident, dispatching a team to monitor the bear's movements and capture it at the earliest.
This attack comes amidst a growing concern of human-wildlife conflicts in the Kashmir valley, with black bears, brown bears, and leopards being involved in most of the incidents.
