Srinagar: A fruit vendor identified as Irfan Ahmad Bhat and a resident of Anantnag’s Janglat Mandi has died after allegedly taking a ‘high dose’ injection, prescribed by a chemist
The deceased’s brother told KNO that Irfan went to a chemist as he had throat irritation and was prescribed a high-dose injection without any test.
“He immediately felt unconscious and the same chemist brought him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead,” he said.
Irfan is survived by his wife, daughter, and mentally unsound sister.
Meanwhile, a Police official said that a case under FIR number 44/ 2023 invoking section 304-A of IPC was registered
“The brother of the accused has been arrested as the chemist is absconding,” he added.
