Yasin Malik Shifted To Hospital After Four Days Of Hunger Strike

Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (now banned JKLF) Chief Yasin Malik has been shifted to a hospital from Delhi’s Tihar Jail due to his deteriorating heath as his hunger strike continued for the consecutive fifth day. 

Sources said that Yasin Malik has been shifted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi on Tuesday evening. 
 
Malik announced his hunger strike till death on 22 July alleging that his case was not being investigated properly when he requested court for the physical hearing of two other cases.
 
Currently, he is serving life imprisonment on terrorism funding charges against which he did not contested. 
 
“Malik have refused to eat since Friday and declared an indefinite hunger strike. Initially, the jail officials met with him and tried to convince him to end his hunger strike, but he categorically refused. From 24 July, he was on intravenous fluid," sources said.
