Won’t Let J&K Be Destabilised Again: LG

Srinagar, Apr 19: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said that “terrorism” and chaos will not be allowed to return to Jammu and Kashmir, warning that any attempt to revive the past era of bloodshed will be met with an iron hand.

Addressing a public gathering, Sinha said that for over three decades, so-called “conflict traders” allied with hostile forces across the LoC had turned “terrorism” into a “profitable business,” sacrificing innocent lives to serve personal and political ambitions.

“These individuals manipulated the local population, fuelling terrorism and spreading venom. They used the pain of the people as a tool for power,” the LG said.

Sinha warned, “If anyone dares to raise their head again or revive the past narrative of hatred, they will be dealt with firmly. There is zero tolerance for these elements, and their agenda will be crushed.”

He said the administration remains committed to peace and development, but added, “We will not allow the region to be destabilised again. Our responsibility is to ensure it doesn’t resurface in violent forms.”

“We will continue moving forward with unity, compassion and strength. Those trying to derail peace will not succeed,” he added.
