Srinagar: A group of social activists have announced the formation of a new political party in Jammu and Kashmir. The party, called Jammu Kashmir Awami Tehreek, aims to promote dignity, identity, peace, stability, and political empowerment in the region. The party's founders hope that it will be able to address the political issues facing the valley.
The spokesperson, Angad Singh Khalsa Nirmaljeet expressed his pleasure at the launch of the party and highlighted its commitment to integrity, transparency and a bold vision for the future.
‘JK Awami Tehreek represents diversity and committed to serve with a common purpose,” he said,
He said defending the rights and aspirations of the people of the region is party’s main objective.
The party has outlined its agenda, which includes ensuring dignity and identity, achieving realistic peace and stability, providing political empowerment to the public, and addressing and resolving political issues.
The party announced that they are committed to protecting the rights of citizens and ensuring their voices are heard.
We are formed to ensure citizens who have been struggling with their rights aren’t being suppressed, Singh added.
The launch meet was attended by party chairman Waqar H. Bathi, president Sohail Ahmed Khan, Vice President Nadeem Shafi and Advisory Omar Ghazi.
