Bajrang Dal leader Mohit Yadav alias Monu Manesar, who was earlier named as an accused in the Junaid and Nasir murder case at Mewat, has been excluded from the case by Rajasthan Police.
This comes after Hindutva groups in Haryana conducted two Hindu maha panchayats backing Monu Manesar and threatened Rajasthan Police, Maktoob media reported.
Rajasthan Police maintained that at least nine men belonging to the two cow vigilante groups are involved in the brutal murder case of two Muslim men whose charred bodies were found inside a burnt car last week.
“We will not let Rajasthan Police return alive if they enter Monu Manesar’s village. We have informed Pataudi and Manesar police not to allow Rajasthan Police to enter the village,” said speakers in the gathering.
The maha panchayat also formed a 16-member team, comprising cow vigilantes, that will be deputed to “protect” Monu and his family.
