Police Seizes House Of Jailed Kokernag Resident

Anantnag: Special Investigation Unit (Special wing of J&K Police) on Monday attached (seized) a residential house for allegedly being involved in militant activities in the Kokernag area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district.

The residential house belongs to Mohd Ishaq Malik, resident of Dhanwetehpora in Kokernag who is currently imprisoned at the District Jail, Anantnag. 

In a statement, Police said that SIU in presence of the Executive Magistrate attached the house of Mohd Ishaq Malik, who was allegedly involved in the militant activities.

“He is involved in case FIR No. 103/2022 U/S 307 IPC, 7/27 Arms Act 18,20,23,38 UAP Act, lodged at Police station Kokernag, who is presently lodged in District Jail Anantnag.

"The owner of the house has been restrained to transfer, lease out, dispose ofF, change its nature or deal with the said property in any manner without the permission of designated authority," it reads.
