Srinagar, Apr 18 — In a major reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir Home Department on Thursday ordered the transfer and posting of several IPS and JKPS officers across the region.
The transfer order includes numerous high-level postings.
Among the notable IPS appointments, Uttam Chand (IPS-2002) has been posted as IGP (Police Operations & Services) at Police Headquarters (PHQ), filling an available vacancy.
Sarah Rizvi (IPS-2008), previously DIG IR Jammu, has been transferred and posted as DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, replacing Rayees Mohammad Bhat.
Sheikh Junaid Mehmood (IPS-2009), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed DIG IR Kashmir, while Umesh Kumar (IPS-2009) moves from DIG Home Guards Jammu to DIG Training at PHQ.
Rayees Mohammad Bhat (IPS-2010) has been appointed DIG CID Kashmir. Jatinder Singh Johar (IPS-2012), formerly AIG Crime & Complaints at PHQ, is now I/C Director, Police Telecommunication.
Sanjeev Kumar Yadav (IPS-2013), earlier Divisional Commandant of Home Guards Jammu, has been posted as SO to IGP Technical Services. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IPS-2013), previously Commandant of 3rd Bn IR, is now SSP Traffic City Srinagar, succeeding Muzaffar Ahmad Shah.
Ranjit Singh Sambyal (IPS-2013), earlier SSP Security VIP Tech, has been appointed SSP Tech CID HQ. Amritpal Singh (IPS-2014) becomes Principal, PTTI Vijaypur.
In another key transfer, G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy (IPS-2014), former SSP Anantnag, takes charge as SSP Srinagar. Sanjeev Kumar Khajuria (IPS-2014) has been posted as Commandant, 1st Border Bn JKAP, succeeding Ashok Kumar Sharma.
Tanushree (IPS-2017), from SP SIA Kashmir, is now SP SIA HQ. Bisma Qazi (IPS-2017) has been posted as Commandant, 2nd Women Bn JKAP.
JKPS-Level Transfers
Among JKPS officers, Amit Gupta (JKPS-2001) has been appointed SSP HQ CID, replacing Peerzada Naveed. Mohd Majid Malik (JKPS-2001) takes over as SSP (SS) CID HQ, succeeding Randhir Singh.
Other changes include Javid Iqbal (JKPS-2001) as Commandant 6th Bn JKAP, Amarjit Singh (JKPS-2001) as SO to ADGP CID, and Mohd Yousuf (JKPS-2001) as SSP Finger Print Bureau.
Khalil Ahmad (JKPS-2001) is now SSP Ganderbal, taking over from Ragav S., while Liaqat Ali (JKPS-2001) is posted as SO to Commandant General Home Guard/Civil Defence/SDRF, replacing Atul Sharma.
