Srinagar: An unidentified body was recovered from a water body (Nallah) in the Inderkoot area of Sumbal in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday afternoon, officials said.
An official said that the body was spotted by locals, who later informed the police.
He said that a team of police reached the spot and the body was shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The official said the identification of the body is being ascertained, while an investigation has been taken up.
