Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Mr. Vijay Kumar Bidhuri on Monday chaired a meeting with Civil Administration Officers and Officers of Indian Army from Chinar Corps for coordination regarding the conduct of the Indian Army Recruitment Rally scheduled to be held at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar in Jun 2023.
Army Recruiting Office, Srinagar recently announced the completion of the online common entrance exam under the Agnipath Scheme.
The meeting was also attended by Mohammad Aijaz Asad, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, representatives from the Police Department, Traffic Police Department, JK SED, JK BOSE, JK BOTE, JK Sports Council, Medical, PWD officers from the civil administration side and Officers of the Chinar Corps and Army Recruiting Office, Srinagar from the Indian Army.
While chairing the meeting, Div Com assured of all support from the civil administration for the smooth conduct of the recruitment rally, saying that the “employment opportunity to the youth of Kashmir in the Indian Army epitomizes the glorious tradition of nation building.”
Div Com also directed concerned departments to make adequate security arrangements and other necessary requirements to facilitate the aspirants and the agency.
“Agnipath” meaning “path of fire” in Hindi, is a new military recruitment system launched by PM Modi in which the army (between the ages of 17-and-a-half and 21) will be recruited on contractual basis for four years, including the training period and exit without any pension, health or education benefits with only a quarter retained for longer periods.
