Srinagar: In preparation for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha (Parliamentary) elections, the Indian National Congress announced coordinators for five Lok Sabha seats in Jammu & Kashmir on Sunday.
According to the details, Ghulam Nabi Monga has been appointed for the Baramulla seat, Abdul Rashid Dar for Srinagar, Yogesh Sawhney for Anantnag-Rajouri, Ravinder Sharma for Udhampur, and Naresh Gupta for Jammu, all serving as coordinators for the upcoming polls.
In the previous Lok Sabha elections, the National Conference secured victory in all three seats in Kashmir, surpassing the Peoples Conference in Baramulla and the Peoples Democratic Party along with Congress in Anantnag.
During those elections, the PDP finished in the third position in the Anantnag Lok Sabha segment, while both seats in the Jammu division were won by the BJP.
