2023 Hottest Year Across Globe: Report

The European, Climate Change Service Body ‘Copernicus’ have declared year 2023 as the hottest recording above normal temperature levels at 14.98 degree Celsius.  

As per ‘Copernicus Climate Change’ “2023 is regarded as the warmest year, with an above normal temperature of 14.98 degrees Celsius, surpassing the previous record of the warmest year 2016.

Copernicus Body also predicted that a 12-month period ending in January or February 2024 is likely to surpass 1.5 degrees Celsius above the pre-industrial level.

Further, as per Samantha Burgess, managing administrator Copernicus, last year observed the warmest June, July, August, September, October, November, and December. It was record-breaking for seven months and highly exceptional over the last half year.

Additionally, Netherlands Meteorological team, World Weather Attribution, is currently examining the events responsible for the impact of human-induced climate change causing heatwaves across the globe.

The team will also conduct 14 case studies showing how 1 million people across the globe are facing irresistible hot spell distressing their livelihood.
