Gulmarg: A skier was killed, and three others were rescued, with one person currently missing after an avalanche struck Khilan Marg on Afarwat Peak in the famous ski destination of Gulmarg on Thursday afternoon, according to officials.
The identities of the skiers, all believed to be foreigners, have not yet been determined.
An official said that an avalanche hit Khilan Marg, trapping at least five foreign skiers.
However, a rescue operation was launched immediately and three were rescued, he said.
The rescue operation is underway to search for at least one skier believed to be trapped under the snow, he added.
