Sopore: The Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested two persons following a raid at the residence of one of the suspects, seizing ammunition in the north Kashmir’s Sopore on Friday, as confirmed by officials.
The duo has been identified as Ab Rashid Najar from Tarzoo, Sopore and Ab Jameel Larah.
According to authorities, stemming from FIR No. 370/2023 filed at Police Station Sopore, a pivotal breakthrough emerged following the questioning of certain individuals, leading to crucial information about the two implicated persons.
Subsequently, Sopore Police along with military and CRPF raided the residence of Ab Rashid Najar in Tarzoo, Sopore and found a hideout within the house, the official added
“Ammunition material such as IEDs, a pistol, magazine, live and some electronic gadgets are recovered,” he further added.
Police stated that another individual Larah was charged by Police after the first accused revealed his name during the interrogation.
Both the accused are under custody of the police, he added.
