Srinagar: A non-local person was shot dead, while another individual was injured by suspected militants in the Karfali Mohalla ShalKadal area of Srinagar city on Wednesday evening.
One among the duo has been identified as Amritpal Singh a resident of Amritsar, Punjab.
According to the reports, suspected militants fired upon two people from close range. One of the injured succumbed on the spot while another was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
