Amid the ongoing Israel War on Gaza, approximately 180 women daily endure perilous and inhumane conditions while giving birth.

As per reports, many face difficulties reaching hospitals due to besieged areas, with Israeli forces hindering ambulance access Amod Ariel bombing, as reported by the humanitarian organization Red Crescent.

UNFPA Representative for Palestine, Dominic Allen, revealed in a virtual news conference from Jerusalem that a staggering 18,000 births occurred in Gaza over the past 100 days.

Unfortunately, UNFPA struggles to provide adequate supplies, and the situation within hospitals is described as dire, the representative said.

Expressing deep concern, Allen noted that an additional 5,500 women are expected to give birth in the coming months, facing challenges such as water scarcity, food shortages, and limited access to medicines.

At least 23,968 people have been killed and more than 60,582 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.
