Khalsa Aid Chief Ravi Singh’s Twitter account has been banned in India after a legal demand from the government, reported India Today.

Ravi Singh shared a picture of the account on Facebook and said that his Twitter account has been banned in India.

“My Twitter account has been banned in India! This is the real face of democracy under the BJP!! Banning Sikh social media accounts won’t stop us from raising our voices! We will only get louder!,” he said on his Facebook post.

Meanwhile, Ravi Singh’s account on Twitter says,  the account has been withheld in India in response to a legal demand.

Khalsa Aid is a United Kingdom-based non-governmental organization providing support around the world to victims of natural and man-made disasters such as floods, earthquakes, famine, and war.

The charity was founded by Ravinder (Ravi) Singh, who was struck by the plight of the refugees in Kosovo in 1999.

In 2021, Khalsa Aid was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for its humanitarian work across the globe.
