Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police on Sunday said that three 'hybrid' militants were arrested along with three rifles and 2 pistols at a checkpoint in Lawaypora NHW (national highway) Srinagar outskirts.
Police identified them as Mohammad Iqbal Dobi, son of Manzoor Ahmad Dobi, Rouf Dar, son of Abdul Rashid Dar, Javid Ahmad Khanday, son of Ghulam Hassan Khanday, all residents of Pattan, Baramulla.
They were apprehended by joint parties of Police and Army’s 2 RR at a naka checkpoint at Lawaypora NHW.
"Consignment of 03 AK rifles, 02 Pistols, 09 Magazines and 200 rounds were recovered from their possession," they said.
A case under relevant sections of law is being registered in police station Shalteng and the investigation has been set into motion.
