Rajouri: A man was shot dead by unidentified gunmen, suspected to be militants, in Kunda village of Shadra Sharief area in the Pir Panchal region's Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday evening.
He has been identified as Muhammad Raziq, 40, son of Muhammad Akber.
Reports said that the victim is the brother of a Territorial military personnel and was working in the Social Welfare Department.
According to officials, he was coming out of a mosque when militants fired at him.
He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Forces have cordoned off the area to nab the attackers, the official said.
This is the third targeted attack as two non-locals were attacked in south Kashmir’s Anantnag and Shopian districts respectively.
