Srinagar, May 6 — Srinagar Police, in collaboration with Tourist Police and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), carried out a mock drill on Dal Lake today, focusing on possible emergencies, including boat capsizing and drowning incidents.
In a statement, the police said the exercise involved Srinagar Police, Tourist Police, and SDRF personnel, who simulated real-life scenarios to test their rescue and response procedures.
“Equipped with essential tools and gear, the teams practiced coordinated efforts to ensure immediate and effective action during actual emergencies, in line with established safety protocols.”
Senior officials, including SSP Enforcement, SP Zone East Srinagar, SP HQ Srinagar, DySP HQ Srinagar, and DySP SDRF, were present at the drill to oversee the exercise and evaluate preparedness.
