Jharkhand: A Spanish woman was allegedly gang-raped late on Friday night in the Dumka of Jharkhand, according to reports.
Reports quoting sources suggest that the woman, who was touring India with her husband, was traveling to Bhagalpur via Dumka on a motorcycle.
They halted at Kunji-Kurumahat near Hansdiha market around 12 am, where a group of eight to ten individuals reportedly arrived and subjected the woman to a gang rape.
It is reported that the husband and wife were also assaulted.
The woman was subsequently admitted to a hospital, and Dumka SP Pitambar Singh Kherwar personally visited the scene.
Three individuals have reportedly been taken into custody for questioning.
Reports said that the couple had traveled to Jharkhand, from Spain via Pakistan and Bangladesh.
