Srinagar: The water supply to several parts of Srinagar city have got disrupted after water pipes were damaged near TRC (Tourist reception center), sources said.
However, the authorities of the LG administration said the water supply in several areas of Srinagar will remain affected on March 14 due to ‘reservoir maintenance’.
The areas where water supply will be affected include Chanapora, Natipora, Baghat, Rawalpora, Rambagh, Hafta Chinar, Tulsi Bagh, Gogji Bagh, Wazir Bagh, Solina, Jawahar Nagar, Rajbagh, Humhama, Lal Chowk, Kahayam, Rajbagh, Khanyar, Safakadal, and several other areas.
“The pipeline was accidentally damaged last night due to the ongoing work taken up under the Srinagar Smart City project,” an official source said.
Men and machinery have been mobilized to restore the water supply, he added.
