Jammu, Apr 6 — A single lane of the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway was restored for vehicular movement on Monday after hours of disruption caused by landslides and shooting stones in Ramban district, officials said.

Stranded vehicles were allowed to move as road clearance teams worked continuously to remove debris from the affected stretch, they said.

“Traffic is being regulated on the restored portion while efforts are underway to fully clear the highway,” an official said.

Authorities said intermittent disruptions had occurred due to fresh landslides and falling stones, slowing restoration work.

Commuters have been advised to adhere to traffic advisories and avoid non-essential travel until the highway is fully operational.

Officials said restoration efforts are ongoing to ensure smooth and safe passage along the strategic route connecting Jammu with the Kashmir Valley.
