Gulmarg: One Russian Skier was killed and other six others were severely injured after an avalanche hit North Kashmir’s famous ski resort Gulmarg on Thursday afternoon.
According to Officials, the avalanche struck the Kongdori - Khilan Marg area of the ski resort, trapping seven Russian Skiers and a local resident.
Subsequently, during the rescue process a Russian skier was found dead while others including a local were rescued safely, he added.
Moreover, all the rescued persons are safe and currently undergoing treatment at the local hospital, he further added.
Additionally, the two-phase Gandola service in Gulmarg was temporarily suspended after the incident as a precautionary measure.
