Far-right protesters belonging to the Danish Patriots group conducted a series of Quran burnings in front of the Egyptian and Turkish embassies in Copenhagen, Denmark's capital. This anti-Islam demonstration took place on Tuesday and followed similar incidents staged by the group in front of the Iraqi embassy on Monday and the previous week, Al Jazeera reported.

Denmark's government has denounced these actions as "provocative and shameful acts," but it stated that it lacks the authority to block non-violent demonstrators.

In addition to the events in Denmark, two Quran burning incidents have occurred in neighboring Sweden within the past month.

Iraq's foreign ministry responded to the situation by urging EU countries' authorities to swiftly reconsider the concept of "freedom of expression" and the right to demonstrate in light of these Quran burnings.

Turkey also condemned the actions, describing the attack on the Quran as "despicable," and called on Denmark to take necessary measures to prevent such hate crimes against Islam.

Thr Egyptian foreign ministry also summoned Sweden's charge d'affaires on Tuesday to express their condemnation of the desecration of the holy book.
