Ganderbal: President Municipal Council Ganderbal lost the floor test after 12 out of 17 councilors voted against him during a no-confidence motion on Wednesday.
An official said that Hilal Ahmad Tantry, President MC Ganderbal lost the floor test by a margin of 5 votes.
He said the councilors had moved a no-confidence motion against the incumbent president on October 25.
He said after the no-confidence motion, a floor test was mandated was the incumbent president to prove his majority.
“He, however, lost the floor test today after 12 out of 17 councilors voted against him,” he said.
