Srinagar: Scores of people on Wednesday held a protest in Lalchowk area of the city demanding death penalty for the culprit involved in an acid attack on a 24 years-old- girl.
Protesters said they demand the culprit should be hanged to death and the existing law of 10 year jail should be amended so that this kind of incident would not happen again.
Notably, a 24 year old girl was attacked in Safakadal area of Srinagar on Tuesday evening and sustained severe injuries. Later the girl was shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment.
Police arrested three assiltants within 24 hours and said he was a spurned lover who have commited a henious crime.
