Srinagar: Former chief minister and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president, Mehboob Mufti vacated her official residence in Gupkar on Monday and shifted to a private house in Khimber area of Srinagar outskirts.
PDP spokesperson, Najam-Us-Saqib said that Mehbooba Mufti has vacated from Gupkar residence today and has shifted to a private residence in Khimber locality.
Jammu and Kashmir administration under LG Manoj Sinha asked Mehbooba Mufti to vacate her official residence on Gupkar road in Srinagar.
The Estates Department of Kashmir had sent a notice to PDP chief on October 15 asking her to vacate the official residence, known as “Fair View Guest House."
Earlier, she hit out at reporters when being questioned over the eviction notice and said that the media was not reporting on 'important issues'. She was referring to the killing of an alleged 'hybrid' militant Imran Bashir under custody.
"if the government has no concern for security, I will vacate the house. What is the big deal in it," she had said.
