Kuphwār, May 6: One labourer was killed and another injured after being trapped under a landslide at a quarry site in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.
According to official sources, two labourers were trapped under the debris after a landslide struck the quarry in the Waterkhani area of Drugmulla earlier this morning.
“One was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. The deceased has been identified as Habibullah Malik, a resident of Drugmulla.”
The second injured labourer is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.
Authorities have confirmed that a case has been registered, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing, police said.
