Kashmir resident and Hizb-Ul-Mujahideen's founding commander, Bashir Ahmad Peer alias Imtiyaz Alam has been shot dead on Monday in Pakistan's Rawalpindi.
As per reports, he was shot dead on Monday evening outside a store in Rawalpindi.
Originally, he was a resident of the Babarpora area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district but was living in Pakistan’s Rawalpindi.
The Govt of India designated him as a “terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act" for his role in 'terror activities' including providing logistics to the banned armed groups in Kashmir on October 4 last year.
