New Delhi: Javed Mattoo, an A++ category militant of Hizbul Mujahideen recently arrested by Delhi Police, has been sent to 14-day judicial custody by Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Friday.

According to details, Mattoo, during interrogation, revealed the name of Mohd Rafi Nazar, a close associate of Hizbul Mujahideen, who arranged financial aid for the militant organization.

Nazar, arrested after Mattoo's statement, is now in the custody of NIA.

However, the court has granted another police application seeking the release of accused Mohd Rafi Nazar in his case, as no 'incriminating evidence had surfaced against him during interrogation.'

Additionally, Mattoo, accused in '11 militant attacks' in J&K, is now under NIA arrest and carries a reward of Rs 11 lakh for his involvement in militant activities.
