Govt Retrieves 25 Kanals Of Land In Central Kashmir's Budgam

Budgam: District Administration Budgam launched a massive eviction drive against the illegal encroachments of Kaah’Charai and State land in the Bemina and Narkara areas of Budgam and around 25 kanals of land worth Rs. 50 crores were retrieved from the grabbers.

Under the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Budgam, S F Hamid, a joint team of Revenue, Municipality, Rakhs under the supervision of Naib Tehsildar Budgam carried out an anti-encroachment drive in Bemina and Narkara areas and retrieved around 20 kanals of Kaah’charai land from encroachers. 
 
During the drive all illegal encroachments including plinth, tin shed, and fencing raised illegally on the encroached land were demolished.
 
ACR Budgam said that drive shall continue in all areas as Deputy Commissioner Budgam has given strict directions to speed up the drive against the land encroachments. 
 
He said that the drive will continue and all encroachments on State as well as Kahcharai land will be removed. 
 
He also said that strict action will be taken against the encroachers for indulging in unlawful activities and repeated offenders shall be booked under the law.
