Kulgam: An elderly woman drowned in a Nallah (water body) in Tangmarg village of South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Sunday.
An official identified the deceased woman as Haneefa Begum (65) wife of Ghulam Mohammad Mir, a resident of Manzgam.
As per reports, she was walking on the banks of Veshow Nallah when she slipped and drowned.
He said her body was later fished out by locals and shifted to a nearby hospital for postmortem.
