Divided In ‘Hard- Soft’ Zones; JKSCERT Issues Date-Sheet For 8th Class

Srinagar: After the LG administration adopted the Uniform Academic Calendar (UAC) and divided the region into ‘hard zones’ and ‘soft zone’; the Jammu and Kashmir State Council of Educational Research and Training (JKSCERT) issued a date sheet for term end examinations for 8th standard. 

The examinations in ‘soft zones’ will commence on February-27 and March-24 for ‘Hard zones’ respectively.

Joint Director Central for JKSCERT in a communique said that the Middle Standard Examination (MME) for Class 8th for Term Second of Academic Session 2022-2023 will commence from February-27.

“The candidates shall take their examination at the Complex Centres identified by the respective DIETs,” the official said.

JKSCERT advised the examinees to strictly adhere to all instructions for students appearing in Examination.

The candidate shall carry admit cards on all days of the examination for verification.

“The Complex Heads shall ensure that all the SOPs for the conducting of the examination are followed in letter and spirit,” it reads.

Pertinently, 57 ‘hard zones’ include 444 schools in 12 districts of J&K.

In Kashmir valley, these schools fall into 5 districts which include Anantnag, Bandipora, Kupwara, Kulgam, and Budgam while in the Jammu division, schools categorized in ‘hard zones’ fall into 7 districts which include, Kishtwar, Reasi, Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Ramban, and Udhampur.

The rest of the areas fall under ‘soft zones’
