Doda: Two residential houses and a shop among other structures got damaged due to a cloudburst in the Kahara area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on the intervening night of Tuesday- Wednesday, amid heavy rainfall.
Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, informed that Deputy Commissioner Doda along with SSP has taken cognizance of the situation and no loss of life has been reported.
"The men and machinery have been mobilized and directions were issued for immediate damage assessment," Divisional Commissioner stated.
“SDM (Sub District Magistrate) and concerned Tehsildar are camping at the site,” he further said.
As per reports, the cloudburst has hit private education institution, a Tourism Reception Center, two flour grinder mills, a traditional water-based flour grinder, one shop, two residential houses, one bridge and a TRC.
