Srinagar: A case has been registered against Lashkar-e-Toiba/TRF (The Resistance Front) armed group for issuing threat letter to journalists and reporters based in Kashmir, police said.
A case has been registered under UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act) and IPC (Indian Penal Code) at Shergari police station against militants and OGWs (Over Ground Workers) of TRF for issuing an online threat letter, Srinagar police said in a Tweet.
“Case registered against handlers, active terrorists & OGWs of terror outfit LeT & its offshoot TRF for online publication & dissemination of a direct threat letter to Journalists & reporters based in Kashmir. FIR No. 82/2022 U/S 13 UAPA, 505, 153B, 124A & 506 IPC in shergari PS,” police tweeted.
