Baramulla: An eight-class student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in the Boniyar area of Uri in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.
An official said that the boy hanged himself to death at his residence in Bonyar village.
He said soon after the incident, the boy was rushed to SDH (sub-district hospital) Boniyar where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started a further investigation.
